I love my daughters dearly BUT .... ever since Em came over at the weekend and got me listening to her KAT-TUN
music I've become addicted. I can't listen to anything else.

I'm also addicted to her Japanese drama Bloody Monday. Once I got used to the subtitles, I really got into it and can't wait to watch the other episodes.

Well I've finally taken some pictures of our static caravan bought beginning of May.
We seem to spend more time there than at home at the moment :)
Here are the pictures http://allsortsknitwear.com/Caravan.html

After a morning thinking that my daughters had forgotten me on Mothers Day they came over with this beautiful cake they made. What more could I want for this day, my 2 daughters and a fresh cream and strawberry cake (which is every bit as yummy as it looks)

Well after about 10 weeks I finally have my tattoo design and am booked in for the 3rd April to get it done. And for anyone who thinks or says "at your age" (you know who you are), it's my body and my choice :)    Here it is

Well after months of waiting we now have our 11th Dr. Matt Smith. who I know very little about. I can't help wishing it had been Paterson Joseph who would have made a cool Dr.
I can say though that after Chris I wasn't too sure about David Tennant, although I had seen him in Casanova and thought he was very good. He turned out to be more than okay, so fingers crossed this new Dr will play the part well and we will grow to like him.

We always do our food shopping in Asda as we find Tesco much more expensive, however we do go to Tesco every month just to stock up on my gluten free Meridian Tikka Masala sauce as Asda don't sell it. Well we did our usual monthly trip to Tesco yesterday and guess what.... they no longer stock the Meridian sauces, but instead they now sell their own in pouches. You may think this is no big deal but it took us over a year to find a curry sauce that we actually liked and now we have to start again. On top of that there are very few gluten free versions available unless you shop on line and then they charge so much postage it makes the jars about double what we were paying in Tesco. Oh well it's just money and hopefully the new Tesco own sauce will be slightly edible.
Sorry rant now over.

It seems my poor 12 year old greyhound Ralphie is going senile. We took him to the vet a couple of weeks ago because he’d started to pee indoors (something he’s never done). The vet has put him on a course of antibiotics in case it’s a bladder infection , but with the other symptoms he’s showing suspects it’s senility. Symptoms for this are:

loss of house training,
lack of interest in food and attention,
circling and compulsive behaviour such as paw licking,
inappropriate barking and whining,
weakness,
tremors,
changes in sleep patterns and pacing at night,
‘forgetfulness’ and a decrease in awareness of surroundings.

and he seems to have all of these to some degree or another.
There is medication they can give him for the senility, but I don’t know if it’s going to help or not. Fingers crossed it does and we get to keep him for another year or two.

I went to the hospital Tuesday for my Arthritis pain. Nothing they can do about the increasing pain in my spine, shoulders and neck, but pour even more pills down me.
I've had a few "poor me" days, but as I and someone I love very much says " the more you tell yourself 'I feel like crap' the more you will, that's the way our brains work " so I've had my few days of wallowing and now I need to cheer myself up so here's some yummy pictures for me and anyone else who loves Jared.

It's my dear daughter Emily's birthday today so ....

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY

A Birthday Wish

On your birthday
stretch for a sunbeam...
Reach for a star...
Go for a beautiful dream.

Pick out some wishes,
no matter how far,
or how hard to reach
they may seem.

Cherish some hopes
that are dear to your heart.

And as a new year comes in view,
treasure and keep them
and know from the start
that this year
you can make them come true!

Rafa played in the longest final played at Wimbledon, with a running time of 4hrs 48min, and a 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7
Victory for the Majorcan was twice interrupted by rain.
It was a great match, probably the best I've ever seen, or at least since the Agassi win in 1992.

We have a new kitty. Well actually Sammy is 4 years old (we think) and we got him from the RSPCA.
He seems to be a house cat, as when he goes out it's just to stroll round the garden and then comes back in to his favourite blanket on the sofa.

I had to have my cat put down yesterday :(
Lennon was 15 years old and had hardly ever been ill until a few weeks ago when he was diagnosed with thyroid problems.
He seemed to be responding well to the meds and was putting on weight, but over the weekend his breathing became "strange" and his arthritis got so bad he couldn't walk more than a couple of steps at a time. I know that we didn't have a choice and had to let him go but he is and will always be missed.

I was watching Channel 5 news last night and was amazed to hear that the powers that be have just discovered that food additives may be making children hyperactive. Is this a joke or what I thought. About 23 years ago I put my then 6 year old daughter on an additive free diet because she was hyperactive and I'd heard it might help. Well within 2 weeks she had calmed down a huge amount and had started to sleep through the night for the first time ever. I was laughed at and told it was a load of old cobblers (even though I knew it was working) and now suddenly 23 years later it's in the news that companies are being asked to take all additives out of certain foods. Perhaps it just takes a while for these people to catch up.

Oh my god ... Dr Who is back and I loved every minute of the first episode.
I wasn't at all sure about having Catherine Tate as the new companion, but she's great.
I loved the Adipose, they were so cute with the one tooth and the cute little wave.

For all you Dr Who fans and especially David Tennant fans out there, this must be one of the cutest pictures I have ever seen of him....
