Well we finally moved on Monday and although we can't see the floors for boxes at least we're in.
Having made sure that the place we left was clean, we had to start all over again this end. I don't blame the couple who moved out - they are in their 70's and the wife is disabled, but they do have a daughter who lives just about 5 miles away and I would have thought she could have at least helped them leave the place okay to move into. My daughter Anna worked so hard both Monday and Tuesday, but especially Tuesday as she steam cleaned the kitchen and it took almost all day, but I wasn't going to use it until it was clean. So thank you with all my heart Anna I really do appreciate all that you have done.
I can't wait for my other daughter Emily to come down so that we can enjoy sitting on the balcony drinking coffee - so pray for sunshine next week Em and I'll try to find the coffee machine.

Well we should have exchanged contracts on our bungalow Friday 14th, but no one could agree on a date. So then we were going to exchange on Monday , for the 7th June as completion but that didn't happen. They then assured us it would be Tuesday 18th but guess what - we didn't exchange. Now apparently it's going to be today the 19th but I'm not holding my breath.

I am so looking forward to the weekend. We are going down to our caravan on Saturday morning through to Monday afternoon. It's so peaceful there and after the stress of the last few weeks we deserve it. We have packing boxes everywhere - just waiting for a date for our move and we can't wait. It should be in the next few weeks - hopefully in May but if not then early June.

Well I watched the new Doctor Who on Saturday with hope that the new Dr - Matt Smith would be good and guess what - he was.

I was getting a bit tired to say the least of David Tennant. He started off great and then the last season especially he really got on my nerves.

It took me all of about 10 minutes to get used to Matt and I'm looking forward seeing how he makes the role his own.

It also helped that the head writer Steven Moffat has replaced Russel T Davis. Steven wrote "Blink" which was one of my favourite (if not
scariest) episodes of last season.

So well done Matt and Steven, I look forward to seeing the rest of the season. Oh and I must try fish fingers and custard - NOT.

After 6 months of being on the market we have acccepted and offer on our bungalow.

We offered on the one we want to buy and after a lot of work from our Estate Agent it was accepted, so YAY we will be moving in the next 2 - 3 months.

Now we only have to pack - a job I hate, but at least it's a good way to de-clutter.

Have decided to knit this one of the vintage patterns bought recently. I have a deep cerise wool/acrylic mix that will look good I think.

I love my daughters dearly BUT .... ever since Em came over at the weekend and got me listening to her KAT-TUN
music I've become addicted. I can't listen to anything else.

I'm also addicted to her Japanese drama Bloody Monday. Once I got used to the subtitles, I really got into it and can't wait to watch the other episodes.

Well I've finally taken some pictures of our static caravan bought beginning of May.
We seem to spend more time there than at home at the moment :)

After a morning thinking that my daughters had forgotten me on Mothers Day they came over with this beautiful cake they made. What more could I want for this day, my 2 daughters and a fresh cream and strawberry cake (which is every bit as yummy as it looks)

Well after months of waiting we now have our 11th Dr. Matt Smith. who I know very little about. I can't help wishing it had been Paterson Joseph who would have made a cool Dr.
I can say though that after Chris I wasn't too sure about David Tennant, although I had seen him in Casanova and thought he was very good. He turned out to be more than okay, so fingers crossed this new Dr will play the part well and we will grow to like him.

It's my dear daughter Anna's birthday today so ....

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY

For Anna, on Her Birthday
It's your birthday, but we got the gift...

of your warm heart and and kind soul.
A loving daughter, peacemaker,

We always do our food shopping in Asda as we find Tesco much more expensive, however we do go to Tesco every month just to stock up on my gluten free Meridian Tikka Masala sauce as Asda don't sell it. Well we did our usual monthly trip to Tesco yesterday and guess what.... they no longer stock the Meridian sauces, but instead they now sell their own in pouches. You may think this is no big deal but it took us over a year to find a curry sauce that we actually liked and now we have to start again. On top of that there are very few gluten free versions available unless you shop on line and then they charge so much postage it makes the jars about double what we were paying in Tesco. Oh well it's just money and hopefully the new Tesco own sauce will be slightly edible.
Sorry rant now over.

It seems my poor 12 year old greyhound Ralphie is going senile. We took him to the vet a couple of weeks ago because he’d started to pee indoors (something he’s never done). The vet has put him on a course of antibiotics in case it’s a bladder infection , but with the other symptoms he’s showing suspects it’s senility. Symptoms for this are:

loss of house training,
lack of interest in food and attention,
circling and compulsive behaviour such as paw licking,
inappropriate barking and whining,
weakness,
tremors,
changes in sleep patterns and pacing at night,
‘forgetfulness’ and a decrease in awareness of surroundings.

and he seems to have all of these to some degree or another.
There is medication they can give him for the senility, but I don’t know if it’s going to help or not. Fingers crossed it does and we get to keep him for another year or two.
